A member asked:

If a dr said chest x-ray showed osteopenia. calcium deposits in lungs is this life threatening?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: Probably not, but ask the doctor who told you. Osteopenia is bone loss, commonly osteoporosis, but it can be other things, including tumors (that can be life threatening). The lung calcification can be benign scar, but can be a serious infection or tumor. Ask the doctor for information. Get a second opinion if you cannot get a straight answer.
