What form?: There are many forms and degrees of severity in the spectrum of muscular dystrophy. If it presents in a young child, it may progress to severe disability and even death. If it presents later and only very mild, it may not interfere with normal function. For some it is a stable condition that causes difficulty with walking and getting out of chairs. For others it can be sudden severe weakness.
