Perhaps: Humira (adalimumab) is an immune system modulator. No one would take this medication to turn down the immune system (with the potential that a new cancer might not be noticed) unless there was a greater problem at hand. If your rheumatoid arthritis is tolerable, as is, then please don't start on this medication. On the other hand, life is a series of trade-offs. Take this medicine if it is worth it.

Unkown: Your risk of getting cancer mainly lymphoma is increased while on humira (adalimumab). It is more related to the duration of use. The dose for its use is usually 40mg subcutanous every 2 weeks, and I am not sure why one would double the dose. Your side effects certainly will get be worse with increased dose. Follow up with your rheumatologist is recommended.
