Need to exclude : Strep throat infection. The information you provided indicates the need to exclude strep throat infection and if that cannot be excluded, you need antibiotic treatment. Your doctor can do a quick screening test, which if positive is sufficient reason to treat, if the screening test is negative then you need throat culture and follow up.

Obtain throat cultur: Low lymphocyte count suggests possible viral infection. To be certain a throat culture should be obtained. This will help to guide the necessary therapy.

Worthless info: Without a full examination and appropriate cultures if necessary your CBC results have no useful meaning other than a vague suggestion that you may have an inflammatory process in progress.
