Many possibilities: Lower right pain could be a cyst on the ovary or an infection or constipation. If it is related to your cycle or ovary it should start to improve since your period is starting. It not better in a few days get seen.

Possibilities: It could be referred pain from your uterus (the menstrual cramps) radiating to the right side; could be a persistent ovarian cyst, could be your appendix. Watch for fever > 100.4, intensification of the pain (could be a 'torsing' -or twisting ovary - but that usu causes severe pain requiring hospitalization).
