Clinical exam: It may be possible to detect movement with a clinical exam.Possible sinus complications, if lining was torn. I would recommend seeing your oral surgeon and/or your ENT md for evaluation. Good luck.

Bite may be off: If you believe your palate is cracked or broken, your teeth will not occlude ( fit together ) the same way as before. Immediately go to the emergency room. You may require imaging, and surgery on this serious condition. Do not delay.

Broken palate: The 2 piece upper jaw articulates with numerous other bones in the skull in addition to it's mirror image side. f broken and left untreated can become infected, not heal properly, cause sinus involvement, change your occlusion, and so many other things. Best diagnostic tool is examination by a professional (specialist Oral Surgeon or specialist ENT). But if no x-ray it's just a guess. Go now.
