I've used papain, : Meat tenderizer, for venomous insect bites in the american southwest. An adult aussie said that wd-40 provided him instant relief.Only cold packs, antihistamines & steroid creams were recommended for local reactions. There's no anti-venom. A lab in tasmania has venom to desensitize pts. With generalized allergic reactions. Best check with your pediatrician. The barb doesn't stay in the skin.
