Trauma?: Could it be trauma? A shaving or scratching injury? Is there a sore? It should resolve quickly in that the area has lots of blood flow. Use some aleve (naproxen) if it hurts and consider a topical abx and Hydrocortisone mixed together, something like neosporin. Good luck, it should be fine.
