Lack of estrogen: More than likely, this presentation involves menopausal estrogen loss which can affect the lower genital tract although vulvar and vaginal infections may present this way as well. There are some skin conditions like lichen sclerosis, more common in menopausal women, that can present with itching as well. See your doctor as this is usually a visual diagnosis.
