Every now and then the skin at top of my butt crack will split about an inch long. it will itch and burn when wet. any idea why? had cyst ther yrs ago

Skin breakdown: Anywhere there is a skin fold, the skin could split due to staying wet for long periods of time. Fungus infections like hot dark moist areas and could cause this. There could be an infection as well from a bacteria. Should get tested for other medical problems that could predispose you to this type of condition.
