How can a person treat a rash from betadine?

Betadine rash: This is possibly a contact dermatitis from betadine an iodine containing solution. Wash off the betadine thoroughly and pat dry. Apply a small amount of Hydrocortisone 1percent to the area. Keep lightly bandaged. Repeat three times per day. If rash persists see your physician for more accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Cortisone: First wash off the betadeine , .You also can use cold compresses with milk to decrease the discomfort and use Hydrocortisone to decrease the inflammation. It this is not strong enough you will need a prescription for a fluorinated or stronger steroid cream from your dermatologist.
