Likely candida: Sometimes you gotta go with the typical diagnosis. Candida, or yeast is white, see if Monistat helps, if not see your doc but it may not be itching yet.

Need microscope: Would need to look at the discharge under a microscopy and possibly get a culture in order to determine cause. The description you give is not sufficient in order to make a confident diagnosis.
