Both: Could be either, and could also be carpal tunnel. It depends on your history (?Trauma), and the nature of the pain. You could get an x-ray to rule out fracture.

Get it evaluated.: You will need to have it professionally evaluated. You will need x-rays taken to determine if there is a fracture of if it just a soft tissue injury.
