Eye burning: Your eyes burn in the morning most likely due to dry eye or blepharitis. Try artificial tears during the day, ointment at night, warm compresses to your lids 2 times daily. If no improvement, see an eye doctor.

See eye doctor: It could be dry eyes. Also could be that at night the inside of the upper lid sticks to your cornea and actually rips some cells off of the cornea and you have a microscopic abrasion. Try sleeping with nighttime eye ointment like refresh pm and when you wake up your eyes will already be lubricated. They sell it over the counter.
