Bladder cancer : If he gets surgery with adequate resection followed by chemo, or chemo followed by surgery (called neoadjuvant chemo) either way his prognosis is very good!

Must watch closely. : Accurate staging, grading, & close followup are essential to his prognosis. From your description your father has the cis form of bladder cancer which has very good response rates to bcg therapy (washes). The data also support that he have a restaging TURBT to confirm the extent of cancer. This is a high risk cancer, & close followup by a urologist is essential in catching any progression.
