Skin fold wound: This wound requires visualization in order to make a diagnosis. Patients with skin folds are at risk for particular wounds that have a fungal component to them, involve friction, pressure from overhanging fat (pannus), and congestion of venous and lymphatic vessels. One or any of these may be involved. Consider a visit to a wound center.
