A member asked:

Can an antibiotic sinus rinse be used in place of oral antibiotics for people who have chronic uris and sinus infections?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: It is a good option for those who can't tolerate a long course (more than three weeks) of antibiotic or have another reason why they can't take the oral form. It can also be used in conjunction with a steroid mixed in the rinse. This might be the only option for some who have chronic sinus disease and whom surgery is not an option (or they are trying to avoid surgery). It is a worth a try.
