Doctor can evaluate: A previously normal person who now leaks urine has a distressing symptom. A primary care doctor can evaluate, and refer to specialists if needed. Common causes are infections of the bladder, but other medical problems are possible also, such as irritable bladder (bladder contracts when it shouldn't), interstitial cystitis (inflammation without infection), prolapse (out of position), cancer, etc...
