Is there a way to tell how big my baby is without an ultrasound?

Yes & no: Obstetricians used to (before ultrasound) take pride in their ability to estimate weight based on the measurements obtained during visits + their exam of the baby bulge. Most could come within a half a pound or so. Today i'm not sure any retain or develop that skill given the ease at obtaining an ultrasound & its better accuracy.

Very rough estimate: You can use the belly button as an indicator. Just above the belly button is around 24 weeks. However, this is very rough, and an ultrasound is a much better way. It is very low risk.
