Not needed: Tylenol (acetaminophen) is used for fever and a rectal temperature of 99.6 is not a fever. A stuffy nose can be caused by dry air or a mild viral infection. Use a vaporizer or instill a few drops of nasal saline and gently suction both nostrils. Use of a cool "steam" vaporizer may be all that is needed. Reserve tylenol (acetaminophen) for temp more than 100.5 or 101 degrees f.
