Probably not: If the wound has healed and your son has completed 3/4 of DTP doses, the chances after 12 days that he is going to develop tetanus are minimal if any. Tig can have significant side-effects. You need to discuss these options with the doctor seeing him and assess the risk vs. Benefit. If it were my son, would not.
