Bump: It depends. How long has it been there? Does it swell up when you eat? Is it an ulcerated lump? Many many things can cause this. Please see a dentist soon.

See dentist: There are so many different things that this could be depending on where it is, how long it has been there and if it has changed size. You really need to see a dentist to have it evaluated. Remember, pain is the body's way of telling you that something is wrong.
