No: One has to remove the testis only if there is a cancer proven by biopsy. When a patient has a lump in the testis , we do few special blood tests and explore the testis through a small incision in the groin and do a biopsy with frozen section that gives us the diagnosis of cancer right on the spot and then only we remove the testis.
