Disaster in waiting: You may be waiting for a disaster to happen. You may wake up with a swollen jaw or may have trouble breathing and need to go to the emergency room for them to save your life. And with murphy's law it will happen when you can least afford for it to happen. See a dentist to have the tooth or teeth treated.

Chronic Abscess: There are two basic types of abscess teeth. The first is an acute abscess -this usually produces pain and swelling. The second is a chronic abscess - this is frequently asymptomatic because it has establish a pathway for drainage. Both conditions are infections and should be treated. I recommend you see your dentist for a diagnosis, evaluation and treatment.
