CBT: You may be a good candidate for an intensive psychiatric therapy program called cognitive behavioral therapy. It is usually 6 to 8 weeks of very detailed analysis designed to unlearn some of the bad sleep habits associated with longstanding insomnia. Head to head it is just as good as medication therapy.

Cannot say: Severe insomnia has many causes, and nobody can tell you anything useful without a full examination. You are on a number of meds so i assume you have a primary care doctor. That is the person you need to talk to. Depression, anxiety and many other things can cause this. If you are overusing your inhalers, it also can cause stimulation and insomnia. Talk to your doctor!
