Varies: If you have been cleared & have no major cause 4 ur pain start with wall push ups and work ur way down 2 reg. If u can't stay within ur limits.

Avoid deep push ups: While it may be a better workout to go all the way down in your pushups, if this is causing shoulder pain it may help to stop before your elbows go behind your back. Keeping your elbows in front of you will put less stress on your shoulder.
