UTI prevention: Women have very short urethra's and the primary prevention technique is to wipe from front to back after voiding, and voiding as soon as convenient after intercourse. Drinking appropriate amounts of water during the day will flush bacteria out of the urethra. When "burning" or frequency starts consider the use of cranberry juice to acidify the urine until a MD visit, diagnosis and Rx can be done.
