Emergency room: These problems are usually infectious in nature. Most dental societies have an 'on call' emergency service. Contact a few dental offices-they may have the number on their answering machine. If not, go to a local er. You can probably get a prescription for antibiotics and pain meds there.

ER and OTC Mx: Your options are very limited. Your best bet is the emergency room of a hospital, or a 24\7 walk in medical facility. The most they can do for you is to give you a prescription for pain and an antibiotic. In the meantime, rinse with warm salt water and take some otc pain medication such as advil, motrin, aleve (naproxen) or what you would normally take for a headache.

E.R.: Go to the emergency room. There is usually a dental resident on call at the hospital. They can often help you get through this difficult time. Call ahead to see if they have a dental resident there. Good luck.

ER: Your best bet is to go to the emergency room , the doctor on call can give you an injection too reduce the pain and a prescription for pain or and antibiotics, meanwhile you can use tylenol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen ove the counter, for swwelling try warm water and salt. You will still need to see the dentist to get a complete treatment.

Dental coverge: Dentists should have someone for on call coverage across holidays. If not, get another dentist. Some oral surgeons will see emergencies on holidays. Otherwise, you may have to go to ER for antibiotics/pan meds. For best results with wisdom teeth, make sure you are evaluated and treated by a board certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon.
