Possibly: Tramadol is a pain medication, so it might help mask the pain of whatever the underlying condition is that is causing your knee pain. Better to work on fixing the underlying cause though.

Controlled Substance: Tramadol (ultram) is a controlled substance, schedule iv, and has both opioid properties which appear to be its main effect, as well as some novel central acting effects. It is much stronger than Ibuprofen and would be expected to help with your knee pain. However, is this the right treatment for you? You can only receive this by prescription and a your pcp should evaluate your knee.
