Mental nerve: Location described is consistent with a problem with the mental branch of trigeminal nerve, v-3 division. May be due to dental problem, and has been seen with nasopharyngeal problems. Perhaps first see your dentist, and if no answer, find an otolaryngologist to help.

Sometimes I wake up with numb lips and chin, like its fallen asleep. Usually my arm is also numb on that side. As soon as I change position i get pins and needles and then the feeling goes back to normal. What is this from? Is this normal?
Pins and needles sensation all over for the past two weeks. Sudden onset and it doesnt go away. My lips and mouth have also started to go numb. The feeling is only when something touches me.
