A lot: Your boyfriend should be giving his own shots. You should be away of different treatment responses if his sugars go to low or high.

Lots to know: It's great that you help your bf, though unusual that he doesn't give his own shots at 19 years-old. He should make an appointment to take you to meet with his diabetes nurse educator. No way to summarize type 1 diabetes care in this forum. Diabetes education is hands-on and detailed.
