Influenza: We are mostly seeing influenza-a. Responds very well to Tamiflu (oseltamivir). After the flu shot, it takes about 3-4 weeks for immunity to build up. So for these three weeks after the shot, you can still catch flu.

Varies: Each season as many as 6+ strains of flu circle the globe. The vaccine is not effective if you put more than 3 strains in it/season, so they pick the highest volume strains & cover those 3.In my local we are seeing a & b, & the vaccine has provided good coverage for those who had it earlier. You can get any flu strain not in the vaccine or if your system has not built enough antibodies yet.
