Good question!: Many things can cause this. The best way to answer is that your nervous system may sense things in such a way that you feel hot or cold (for example when you have a hot flash due to hormonal changes)...And that may be different than the actual environmental conditions that you find yourself in. Your feeling of hot and cold is a complex interaction between your nervous system and your environment.
