Statistics!: Try to remember that a one-in-fifty chance of having a baby with Down syndrome is the same as a forty-nine-out-of-fifty chance that you won't. Depending on how far along you are, you may be able to have a test that will tell you for certain, i.e., through amniocentesis or chorionic villous sampling.
