I have pneumonia and on my chest xray they said they found a hilar mass or hilar lymphadenopathy could pneumonia cause this?

No: It needs to be investigated hilar mass could be enlarged nodes unlikely to be due to pneumonia.

Possible: You can get enlarged lymph nodes from infection. However, the only way to know for sure is to have follow up imaging after the pneumonia is treated.
