Ouch!: These things just need time to heal. There is not much you can do. Avoid hot, spicy and acidic foods. Anything that you would apply or rinse or gargle with won't last very long. Some people get some relief from gargling with salt water (1 teaspoon of salt in a glass or lukewarm water).

See doctor: You should see your doctor, as you may need some treatment depending upon the severity of the burns. Bland diet, no hard or crunchy foods (chips, toast, pretzels, etc.), lots of fluids. No very hot (temp.) or spicy foods / liquids. Warm salt water rinses / gargles may help sooth this. No anesthetics, as they will likely irritate it and / or allow you to eat harmful foods. No mouthwash. Good luck.

See Your Doctor: Cold foods will help soothe the area, but you may need steroids if you are swelling.
