See your doctor: Coughing spasms to the point of vomiting might mean pertussis or one of its variants. There are ways that this diagnosis can be established and antibiotic treatment might be needed. Best see your physician. Trying honey, applying Vicks vaporub to your child's chest, drinking vitamin c juices (orange, lemon, lime) and zinc lozenges have been scientifically shown to help the symptoms.
