Check with PD: The primary symptoms aided by pepto-bismol are nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea, and other temporary discomforts of the stomach and gil tract. If your child doesn't have worrisome symptoms like fever, chills, nausea, vomiting or loss of appetite then you can try pepto- bismol. Yet i would recommend checking with your pediatrician first since symptoms persisted for 2 d.

I wouldn't: We rarely use any product with salicylates in kids under 16 due to a connection to liver failure & death called Reye syndrome. That problem was recognized the late 60's/70's & was found related to aspirin exposure during viral illnesses. The kid would be better off just eating ice chips,popsicles pieces or chilled applesauce until his stomach settles.There is a PB kids that has no salicylates
