Maybe: It seems ms really does its own thing. Some people have seasonal flares while others do not.

See below: People with ms will often experience worsening weakness when it is hot. That is one reason why i recommend that they exercise in a cooler environment with a fan. Ms patients should avoid getting overheated and during the summer, use of an air conditioner is recommended. Some people will have increased symptoms when they go in a heated pool.

Pseudorelapses: Hot weather can make preexisting ms symptoms recur, or get worse, but these do reverse when cooling occurs, such as inside in air conditioning. (uhtoff's phenomenon, when heat causes this). But, here is the main concern: MRI lesions increase during summer months, and could lead to disability, especially cognitive. Therefore, potent controlling medications are mandatory.
