Do it: It's recommended to take those to prevent the common reactions of rash and fever from biologics like remicade (infliximab).

Remicade (infliximab): The recommendation is not too unusual. 50 milligrams(not grams) of Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and one thousand milligrams(1 gram) of Acetaminophen to reduce side effects of the interferon is used by some physicians. For many patients the muscle aches & pains settle down after the 1st month or so of therapy.
