Not really: Hpv has many subtypes and has become so prevalent that it can be likely passed without sexual contact. The good news is hpv associated head and neck cancer appears less aggressive than it's non hpv counterparts. Hpv associated throat cancer would not be considered a sexually transmitted disease, but exposure to the virus prior to forming the cancer might occur through sexual transmission.

HPV: Hpv especially types 16, 18 and other high risk types have been linked to cervical and oral cancers. They are most commonly transmitted sexually because they generally require close contact (not just sharing a glass) to be transmitted.
