Give it time: Liver tests are non-specific: sgpt, sgot, alk phos, bili. None of them (except ggtp for alcohol) is specific, so we have to follow general guidelines. We start to worry if your test is 2x normal; more worry if 3x nl; and on and on. Most of the time, liver tests normalize if no diagnosis is found (hepatitis, trauma, ). Eat a prudent diet, avoid tylenol, (acetaminophen) and retest in 3 months.
