Iliotibial Band: Unless you had a severe trauma or issues when you were born, the feeling that your hip is dislocating is probably your iliotibial band snapping over the side of your hip. It creates a clunk that feels like something dislocates. Just to make sure, i would obtain a hip x-ray to evaluate your anatomy.
