Fifth disease: This is most consistent with fifth disease, also called erythema infectiosum. It is caused by a virus and is a mild and generally benign illness. Other than Acetaminophen for the fever and cough medicine for the cough, treatment is usually unnecessary - but if the symptoms persist or worsen, see your doctor.
