Take her to her: Pediatrician today for evaluation & treatment. No one else can tell you how serious a problem this pain may represent. If she's 12 yrs. & you're 22, I have to assume she's your stepdaughter. Be sure to take the legal documents that give you permission to seek medical care to her doctor. If she's 12 mos., all the more reason to seek care right away.

See doc soon: Acute abdominal pain has many causes and even though you suspect the liver, there are other possible causes. Some of them are serious and need to be checked for immediately. Sometimes pain in the abdomen can be 'transmitted' from the lungs/chest, so a thorough evaluation is suggested.
