Is hot flashes common after rotar cuff surgery?

Unclear: Unclear how long ago you had surgery, did surgeon inject local anesthetic or did you have a nerve block. Hot flashes are very unusual, but can be caused by allergic reaction, fever, hormonal changes unrelated to surgery. Call your surgeon, he is in the best position to help.

No: It's possible that positioning during your procedure (sitting upright or in a lateral position) may have caused a temporary thyroid hormone imbalance, though unlikely. Other causes are medications, viremia, normal physiological changes and fever. If your symptoms persist, speak with your surgeon...Two heads are better than one!
