Many possibilities: A painless swelling could be caused by many things including a tumor. See your ophthalmologist for evaluation.

Eyelid swelling: Your description could be due allergies, blepharitis, a styr, or other eye disease. Try warm compresses and if no improvement, go see an eye doctor.
