Broken blood vessel: This is a broken blood vessel on the outer surface of your eye also known as a subconjunctival hemorrhage. It is usually painless and not dangerous. It can be associated with the use of blood thinners such as aspirin. Small ones can resolve very quickly. Repeated occurrences should be evaluated by an ophthalmologist.

Broken blood vessel: Most likely you had a subconjunctival hemorrhage or broken blood vessel on the surface of the eye. These can happen if you lifted something heavy or if you were straining. Also, a hard sneeze or cough can cause that. It does not damage the eye or cause any problems with the vision. If it happens again you should see your ophthalmologist.
