Yes: Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) is a neurostimulant, but when given for add or adhd alters brain chemistry, and tends to focus the brain and reduce hyperactivity. However, you do not loss the arousal effect when it's time to go to bed. If possible give the medication earlier in the morning if this is a child or young adult, and limit caffeine in the afternoon. This sounds childish, try warm milk, it may help.
