Need evaluation: Schizophrenia is known as a psychotic illness because losing contact with consensual reality is part of it. Also there is hallucinating (perceiving things that are not there in the external world) ; delusions (having fixed false beliefs that do not change with facts). "crazy" is a pejorative term that does nothing to accurately describe this. You could see a psychiatrist for assessment.
